What is ECO4?

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) aims to provide energy-efficient and heating measures to households across Great Britain. ECO4 concentrates on enhancing the energy efficiency of homes facing fuel poverty, with a specific focus on properties in bands D-G.

Who is entitled to ECO4 grants?

Residing in housing with inadequate energy efficiency: Only homes within energy efficiency bands D to G are eligible for ECO4. In the case of social housing and privately rented properties, ECO4 will exclusively provide support to the least efficient homes falling within bands E to G.
Eligibility under ECO4 Flex: ECO Flex Rules allow local councils to recommend that a householder qualifies for a grant even if they don’t receive one of the outlined benefits.

What Grants are available under ECO4?

There are a range of heating measures available to keep heat in and make your home more energy efficient. Heating measures being offered as part of the Great British Insulation Scheme include:

• Non-condensing boiler upgraded to an A-Rated boiler

• Inefficient storage heaters upgraded to high heat retention storage heaters

• Inefficient heating upgraded to air source heat pumps

• Wall insulation (cavity wall or internal wall insulation)

• Loft or Roof Insulation

• Ventilation

• Heating Controls
